Terms

These terms cover the use of this catalogue. They are written to be read, not to be survived, so they are short.

The account

An account is an email address. A free account may copy five components in a calendar month. A premium account may copy without limit for as long as the plan is active.

What you may do with what you copy

Ship it. In your own products, in work you are paid for, in things you sell. There is no attribution requirement for components written here, and no limit on how many projects a copy may appear in.

Imported components arrive under their own licence, and that licence travels with them. All of them are MIT, Apache 2.0 or ISC, all of them permit commercial use, and several ask that the copyright notice stays with the code. Where a file carries such a notice, keep it. The full text of every licence is on the licence page.

What you may not do

  • Republish the catalogue, in whole or in substantial part, as a catalogue of your own.
  • Resell access to it, or share an account so that people who have not bought one can copy through it.
  • Strip a copyright notice off a file that carries one.

The distinction is between the components and the collection. Using a component in a product is the point. Reproducing the collection is the one thing that takes the work away rather than using it.

Payment and cancellation

The premium plan is charged either every two months or once a year, in advance. Cancel at any time and access continues to the end of the term already paid for. There is no charge after that.

What is not promised

The components are provided as they are. They are tested, and the catalogue reports honestly what does and does not render, but nothing here is warranted fit for a particular purpose, and the imported libraries carry the disclaimers their own licences state.

What is recorded

An email address, and a line for each component copied: which one, and when. That is what the account page shows you and the whole of what the administration page shows. Nothing else about you is collected, and none of it is sold or passed on.

Changes

If these terms change, a plan already paid for keeps the terms it was bought under until it renews.
